Ensemble Information
Select Women’s Ensemble-
A traditional women’s choir with approximately 20-35 10th-12th grade singers. Select Women sings in four or more parts regularly. Singers are expected to read music proficiently, be able to sight-sing, and learn parts on their own. Members of Select Women’s Ensemble should expect after school rehearsals, weekly sectionals, and performances in the community.
LB Singers-
A mixed choir with approximately 20-28 10th-12th grade singers. LB Singers performs in four or more parts regularly. Singers are expected to read music, be able to sight-sing proficiently, and learn parts on their own. Blend is a key factor in the selection of this ensemble, as the majority of the repertoire is A Cappella. Members of the LB Singers should expect after school rehearsals, weekly sectionals, and many performances in the community.
**Both Select ensembles are considered leaders within our department, and will be treated as such. With that in mind, please be aware that appropriate rehearsal behavior is a must for all members. In addition, students should have good school attendance, and plan on being in class every day.**
